Piano lessons for neurodivergent students.
Your child loves piano but wants to quit lessons. You don’t want to see their potential go to waste but can’t keep fighting with them to practice. You don’t know what to do.
They don’t have to quit. And you don’t have to fight practicing.
With Neurodivergent Music Lessons, I structure all of my lessons around your child’s interests, strengths, and learning styles.
Neurodiversity-affirming music lessons for all
I specialize in teaching ADHD, autistic, PDA, and other neurodivergent learners through gentle, fun, online piano lessons designed around how their brains learn best.
Each lesson is adapted to each student's energy, interests, and pace — helping them build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.
Neuro-affirming piano lessons
30, 45 and 60 minute options available.
1:1 online piano lessons perfect for all neurodivergent learners, including ADHD, autistic, PDA learners. All lessons are tailor created for each child and take into account their particular special interests, strengths, goals and learning styles.
Each term includes 11 or 12 private classes and one Group Piano Party celebration for kids at the end of term.
(Piano parties are like masterclass meets recital meets party. They are a chance for students to learn something new in a group class, perform a piece they've been working for others, play games and connect with fellow musicians.)
Ideal for children ages 8+.
Starting from $520 USD per term.
Guided piano practice
15 minute guided practice to help students practice their homework.
This class is for any student who needs support practicing between lessons, and especially helpful for learners who struggle with task initiation (Executive Dysfunction, Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities).
Also especially helpful for parents who are tired of reminding their kid to and fighting them to practice. Having it scheduled in the calendar makes it non-negotiable an “I’ll do it later”)
Ideal for all learners.
$25 USD per class.
4-week hyperfocus
4 × 60 minute lessons.
For busy adults and those who prefer short-term based projects. 4 weeks of fully tailored 1:1 classes to learn any piece you'd like, or work on a musical goal (theory, technique, composing, etc).
Ideal for adult learners.
$320 USD per project.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes! I would even say online is better than in-person, especially for neurodivergent and disabled learners, because being at home supports their comfort and regulation, which is ultimately what makes learning possible.
-
That depends on what your goals are. Ideally each student should have an 88-key acoustic piano or digital piano with weighted keys. But you can start with a smaller keyboard if you already have one, and upgrade later, depending on your goals.
-
Yes and No! This depends entirely on your family and goals. We know that daily practice is essential for good progress and skills development in piano. However, in neurodivergent households that is much easier said than done. So I also offer “no practice” lessons, where the lessons are designed to support students who can’t practice at home.
-
Neurodivergent music lessons are personalized music lessons designed to support students with different learning styles, including autistic learners, students with ADHD, dyslexia, sensory differences, and other neurodivergent profiles and /or disabilities. Unlike traditional music lessons, there is no one curriculum or series of books that is used. Each student receives a tailored lesson plan that includes their goals, learning styles, and special interests.
-
Similar to in-person lessons, students work through technique, repertoire, and theory. Students have one camera set up to the side, and I have multiple cameras to show different angles of the piano and demonstrate technique. Using screen share, we can play interactive games and annotate music together.

Any time you are away, or sick, you have the option to send in a video for feedback or request additional work for the upcoming week. There are no makeup lessons or refunds.

"Wow! Never seen my son more engaged for lessons. All I can say, is she gets kids and knows how to teach with a gentle hand as the kids 'lead'."
